POWERFUL DIGITAL INTERFACE
Adding a true DIGITAL interface through a powerful serial port and how fast and how slow you move in your game depends on how much force you use on the PowerSensor ball. To move forward slowly, lightly push the ball forward. To move faster, increase the pressure until you reach top speed. The SpaceOrb is a 10-bit device allowing for over 1,000 levels of speed -- and with the new SpaceOrb 360 Customizers (right) you can fine tune axis sensitivity exactly to your needs

I first saw the space orb controller quite some time back at a computer show in Toronto,Ontario Canada.  I was very impressed with the concept but the price was over 170 dollars then and I could not see paying that much  for a controller.However after playing with it for some time at the demo booth, both my daughter and we were both very impressed with it.Although not enough to buy it I was certainly going to keep an eye out for this to drop in price.  The learning curve is a bit on the steep side but once you get used to it this controller will rock your world and those who don't..

Installation:
The space orb installed without a hitch. Oh yes I do not read manuals and this did not need it. On boot up win95 (osr2.1) detected the space orb perfectly. I installed the drivers and I was ready to get into the testing. This is one company that does things right the first time. No cheap stuff here...the 9 pin and the 25 pin connectors are included right in the box. If you do wish to read the manual it is well written and all of the info is easily understood.

Gameplay

The space orb comes with a ton of games pre-configured for use. Quake2 is no exception.It took a while to get used to but this controller does all it says and will definitely make the average player great ! The ease at which you could track up/down left/right was simply amazing and unprecedented for anything I had used before. The games where I personally think this controller shines..the descent style  of game. I tested this on Forsaken and Descent Freespace and this controller rules the tunnels and space !

Conclusion:
    Would I buy this controller now and would I recommend it to you with no regrets ? Absolutely. Go on out and spend the money, this is one controller that will not gather dust in some box on the floor. I give it a 9 out of ten cause nothing is a ten. Want to see more..get to their web page here.
