Well all I can say is Lucas Arts took a mediocre Nintendo 64 game and released it on the PC. I hear all of the people in the irc groups saying how much better the graphics are then the Nintendo 64. But personally owning the N64 game also I see not difference. In fact they seem to have left the same gameplay quirks in it that the N64 game had.

It is a Windows 95 title and seems to run fairly well with no slowdowns. When I played in the snowspeeder I could not find anyway to put any crosshairs on the screen short of going to the cockpit view. It seemed to me that it was very hard to aim where you were firing. Maybe all I need is a few more days with the game who knows. I am going to play it more today and try to get some more screen shots from other levels. There is some gratitude in Tying up a Imperial Walker and watching it fall to the ground. And by far the Hoth level is my favorite.

When I got to the Dash Rendar Levels I was disappointed. The controls seem to have the same problems that the Nintendo 64 version had. After playing Quake all of the time it just seems to hard to control dash. I use a Microsoft Sidewinder Pro Joystick which has analog controls like the Nintendo 64 version. And I found myself constantly falling off cliffs and running into unhappy stormtroopers on accident. Once again the graphics in the level are not on par with what the 3dfx can do.

The final mission in the Demo was the Asteroid Belt. This time you are flying dashes goofy ship. Which looks like someone shot off half of the millenium falcon and you get the half that survived. Once again the controls from the ship are quirky at best. I am supprised that this game came from the company that has done such greats as X-Wing, Dark Forces, Tie-Fighter and many others. With the quality of the aforementioned games you would think it would be in their latest title. But of course it is now. My suggestion to you is not to buy this game when it comes out. If you want to you can play the Nintendo 64 version. All I can say is Turock PC can't wait for you =]

So far this is how I keep on ending up :)

Notice the transparent smoke though... Activision maybe you should call LA for help !
