For all you racing fans out there, Speed Busters will probably be the way to go. The cars are fast and the tracks are tuff and the graphics are great. This game is fun and has an interesting twist.
Before the race starts, you must select your car. Also, you can change the "skin" of the car. The computer allows you to select multiple interesting appearances for the car. Once you have selected your car and colors you can add mechanical upgrades. There are many upgrades available that will help the performance of you car. Things like a wider wheel base, lowering the vehicle, and a blower will all help your speed and handling. All the different packages for the car can be purchased when you win races so, the more you win the better of a car you can build. So, you are not always stuck with the stock car after each race. These upgrades are not available in the demo but will be when the final version is released.
The demo allows you to play one course in championship mode. This course has great graphics and interesting obstacles. The course is in a city environment where you drive through interesting buildings and run into weird animals. When driving through this city you will run into different animals including apes and dinosaurs. You must avoid these obstacles and whatever others you may find. Once your car hits something a percent of damage is added. At the end of the race, you must fix your car, add whatever upgrades you can afford, and recharge your nitros booster.
This game impresses me because your car is always changing. In some typical racing games you are stuck with the same speed/performing car throughout the game. This game allows performance upgrades and deducts vehicle damages thus, making it more exciting.
The retail release will contain a lot more features not featured in the demo version such as:
