9/4/98 - Here are a few screenshots from the Spectra 2500. Quake 2 is running 44.1 fps @ 800x600 on my P2-266 and I should have somemore screens and benchmarks throughout the evening. Read the PressRelease about the Spectra 2500. You can also visit the Canopus Spectra 2500 page.

Ok Folks now remember these screenshots and Benchmarks were taken with beta drivers and tomorrow Jim Anderson sends word that I should have a new bios update and drivers for the card so these results could change tomorrow night so make sure you check back.

9/5/98 - New Drivers and Bios. Ok folks today I recived a new bios and drivers for the Spectra 2500 and was shocked. D3D performance with vsync off kicked voodoo2's ass. Quake 2 is looking great all the way up to 1600x1400 and even playing Quake 2 in a window. The gamma problems I had with most of the games is cleared up as well. The Quake 2 fps went up 1.5 fps from the last drivers as well. One strange thing is the crusher demo really doesn't change no matter what resolution I am running. I will try to get somemore benchmarks and screenshots posted before the sun comes up and get to work on my review when I wake up(If I go to sleep:) )

9/6/98 - Visual Quality. People keep writing me asking me to provide some shots to compare the quality of the Voodoo2 to the Spectra 2500 so I have added these two shots that tell all. Notice the sky on the V2. In both of these shots the Voodoo2 is on the left and the Spectra 2500 is on the right.
