Review @ 3DGW
Tomorrow at 12pm EST, Ratbag Games, Wizard Works, and Infrogrames will be
releasing the 18 MB demo of their latest Dirt Track Racing Sprint Cars.
Seeing as we will serve as a mirror for the demo and I was give the demo a day
in advance I thought I would post some screenshots as well as a bit of brief info on the game to get everyone pumped up for the demo.
The demo will feature 2 tracks and the ability to play up to 10 players
multiplayer via GameSpy Arcade.
Last December when I reviewed
Ratbag's Dirt Track Racing it was one of the best racing games I had played
period. With great graphics, physics, multiplayer and a $19.99 price
tag to boot you just couldn't go wrong. Now almost a year later Ratbag is
back with the next offering in the Dirt Track Racing Family: DTR Sprint Cars.
Sprint Car racing uses the DTR engine and shell and improves on everything
from the physics to the interface all while keeping the great DTR quality.
New features and improvements include:
- 4 different models of sprint car
- Over 50 different sprint car skins
- 10 separate series
- Dirt Track Racing Connectivity
Other features include:
Tracks:
20 real world tracks varied in:
- length (1/4 mile to 3/4 mile)
- banking (flat to 33 degrees)
- clay or dirt
Vehicles:
Technical
-
Improved software rendering support for Pentium PII 233
machines
-
Extensive 3D graphics hardware support
-
Multiplayer over LAN and Internet (human players only)
-
Force Feedback support
-
Neural network AI
Dirt Track Racing Sprint Cars is scheduled to hit store shelves
on the 17th of October.
